A blind date
一期一会
(ichi-go ichi-e)
Once, a meeting
(one time only; no moment in life cannot be repeated)
Ohayou dear visitor under the cherry tree🌸,
welcome in this section you can find some tips for your reading ritual. Reading is more than just an intellectual act. It can be a true moment of well-being, a gift you give yourself to disconnect from the world and immerse yourself in a universe of stories and thoughts.
The moment we decide to start reading a book, we imagine that we are meeting a person.
A blind date.
Here are some tips to make our date become unique and unrepeatable:
The atmosphere
Before you start reading, prepare your space. Soft light, away from the cold, aggressive LED lights, can help you relax and get more into the book. If possible, use a warm light lamp to create a more intimate and cozy atmosphere.
The right sound
Some people like to read in silence, but light background music, such as natural sounds or ambient music, can help create a quiet, reflective mood. Choose instrumental pieces that do not distract from the words, but create a gentle background.
Let's get cozy
Find a cozy corner, ideally with soft pillows and a blanket that makes you feel comfortable. Physical comfort is important for maintaining concentration and fully experiencing reading.
Airplane mode
Turn off your phone, avoid notifications and keep away from any source of distraction. This is a time for you. Reading can become a meditative experience if you can detach yourself from the many urgencies of the day.
Chill out
There is no rush. Reading should be a pleasure, not a task to be completed. Enjoy every page, every word, and let the stories envelop you without feeling an obligation to finish a chapter or a book in a hurry.
The authors we will tackle together in this blog-from Haruki Murakami to Yukio Mishima, via Satoshi Yagisawa, Nanako Hanada, and Kei Aono-have the power to transport you to distant worlds and offer new perspectives.
Each book is a journey that deserves to be experienced quietly and carefully, an opportunity to find yourself through words.
